A generalist agency starts from scratch every time. We start from deep expertise.

Typically 10–14 days from your initial discovery call to a live website. Day 1 is your call. Days 2–6 we design and build. Days 7–10 you review and we make any revisions. Day 14 (or sooner) your site goes live. We've never missed a 2-week timeline for a client who responded promptly during the review phase.

Absolutely — and honestly, non-tech-savvy clients are our favorite. You don't touch the website, you don't log into any system, you don't deal with servers or software. You just tell us what you want and we handle everything. Your job is to paint. Our job is everything else.

No. We write all the copy for your website — service descriptions, homepage messaging, about section, everything. We ask you questions on along the way and turn your answers into professional website content. If you have photos, we love to use them. If not, we have access to high-quality stock photography to fill in the gaps.

Yes — we've built sites for residential-only painters, commercial-only painters, and companies that do both. We'll tailor the messaging and page structure to match exactly who you want to attract, whether that's homeowners, property managers, general contractors, or all of the above.
Pricing & Contract

Correct. Zero dollars upfront. No design fee, no onboarding fee, nothing. Your first payment is $150 on the day you sign up, and every month after that is the same flat $150. We've built the cost of designing your site into the monthly rate.

Two reasons. First, we invest real time and money into building your custom site upfront — the 6-month term ensures we can recover that investment. Second, SEO and lead generation take time. A new site typically takes 4–8 weeks to gain traction in search results. The contract makes sure you give it a fair shot before judging results. After 6 months, it's completely flexible month-to-month.

After your initial 6-month term, you can cancel with 30 days' written notice. No cancellation fees, no penalties. We'll export your content and assist with any transition. We want you to stay because you're getting real value — not because you're trapped.

The only potential extra is your domain name (e.g. yourcompany.com), which costs about $12–$15 per year and is purchased directly through a registrar like GoDaddy or DreamHost — not through us. If you already own a domain, there's nothing extra at all. Everything else — hosting, SSL, design, updates — is covered by the $150/month.

Yes. If you'd prefer to pay for the full year upfront, we offer a modest discount. Reach out to us before signing up and we'll discuss annual billing options.

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover). Payments are billed automatically on the same day each month through our secure billing system.

We get it — starting out is tough. Think of it this way: $150/month is $5/day. A single residential paint job typically brings in $2,000–$4,000. If your new website books even one extra job in your first 6 months, you've made back your entire investment many times over. Most of our clients recover the cost within their first few weeks.

It's a genuine custom design. We don't use Wix, Squarespace, or pre-made themes where every site looks the same. We build your site from scratch, tailored to your brand, your services, and your market. That said, because we specialize in painting companies, we've developed a proven structure — we customize that framework specifically for you.

Most painting company sites we build include 5–8 pages: Home, Services overview, individual service pages (interior, exterior, cabinet, commercial), a photo gallery, an About page, and a Contact page. If you serve multiple cities, we also build service area pages for each — these are great for local SEO.

Yes, and honestly, this is the most common situation. We'll build your new site completely from scratch — not patch the old one. We'll carry over your existing photos, reviews, and content where useful, and ditch everything that was holding you back. When the new site is ready, we redirect your domain seamlessly.

Always — we build mobile-first. Over 70% of people searching for local painters use a phone. Every site we build is designed to look great and function perfectly on any screen size, with a tap-to-call button that lets mobile visitors reach you in one touch.

We'll send you a preview link before going live. You can request as many changes as you want — different wording, different photo, different layout — and we'll revise until you're completely happy. We don't charge per revision. When you say "I love it," that's when we go live.
Updates & Support

However is easiest for you — call us, email us, or text us. Just say "Hey, can you add these photos?" or "We're now offering epoxy floor coating — can you add that?" We handle it from there. No ticketing systems, no tech portals, just a real conversation.

1–2 business days for most requests. Simple changes like adding photos or editing text are often done same-day. Larger requests (adding a whole new service area section, for example) may take the full 2 days. We'll always let you know if something will take longer than expected.

Yes, within reason. "Unlimited" means you can send us update requests as often as you want, for any normal business need — new photos, service changes, testimonials, promotions, contact info, service area expansions, etc. It doesn't mean we'll redesign your entire website every month. But anything a growing painting company legitimately needs? We've got you covered.

We monitor your site 24/7 with automated uptime checks. If something goes down, we're typically notified and fixing it before you even notice. In the rare event you spot an issue first, call or email us immediately and we'll treat it as an emergency and resolve it as fast as humanly possible.

Yes — completely and silently. Software updates, security patches, SSL certificate renewals, database maintenance — all of it happens in the background without you knowing or doing a thing. Your site stays secure and current automatically.
SEO & Leads

We build every site with a strong local SEO foundation — correct page structure, city-targeted content, fast page speed, proper meta tags, and Google Search Console submission. Ranking takes time (typically 2–4 months for noticeable results), but we set you up properly from day one. We can't guarantee specific rankings — nobody honestly can — but we give your site the best possible structural foundation.

It depends on your market, but most clients see their first online leads within 2–4 weeks of launch — often from direct visits (people who heard about you and looked you up), referrals clicking your link, or early Google ranking. Organic search traffic usually builds meaningfully over 60–90 days. The key is your site looks professional and converts visitors into calls from day one.

We don't manage paid ad campaigns — that's outside our scope. We focus on building a great organic foundation: a fast, credible website with strong local SEO. Many of our clients run their own Google Local Service Ads (LSA) or hire a PPC specialist separately, and their BrushWork site becomes the destination those ads point to.

Every form submission sends an immediate email notification directly to your inbox. For calls, we can set up call tracking (a tracking phone number) so you know which calls came from your website. We'll also set up Google Analytics on your site so you can see traffic over time.
Ownership & Data
4 questions

All content on your website — your copy, your photos, your branding, your business information — belongs to you. The website infrastructure is hosted on our servers. If you cancel, we'll provide you with a full export of your content, images, and files so you can take everything with you.

You do — always. Your domain is registered in your name, through your registrar account. We never hold your domain hostage. If you cancel, your domain goes with you, no questions asked.

After your 6-month term, you can cancel with 30 days' notice. During that 30 days, we'll prepare a complete content export and help you transition your domain to a new host if needed. Your site stays live until the end of your final paid period.

Yes. All form submissions are sent directly to your email and stored securely. Your site runs on HTTPS (SSL) so all data transmitted is encrypted. We never sell, share, or use your customer data for any purpose other than delivering it to you.
